| Why should I register? |
For full access to all of Met Trade features, you must be a registered user. Only registered users are eligible to buy and sell on Met Trade. Through registration, we can ensure a user's agreement and adherence to our policies and procedures. All registration information is governed by our Privacy Policy. |
| Do I have to have a credit card to buy something? |
You do not need to have a credit card on file with Met Trade in order to make an offer or purchase an item from a Seller. You only need a credit card as a Buyer if that is the sole means of payment accepted by the Seller. |
| Do I have to live in the U.S.? |
Not at all. Keep in mind, however, that some Sellers may not ship internationally, or other costs for shipment, etc. may apply. That information will be posted in each individual Sellers information section. |
| How old do I have to be? |
You must be 18 years of age or older to register as a member of Met Trade. |
| How do I choose a User Name? |
A User Name can be anything you want, as long as it is not currently in use. Your User Name can be up to 16 characters in length and you can use a nickname, your first name, your company name, etc. When you choose a User Name, remember that it is how others will know you on Met Trade. Consider your desired level of confidentiality when choosing your User Name. |
| Can I use my e-mail address as my User Name? |
No. For security reasons we do not allow the use of e-mail addresses as user names on Met Trade. |
| Can I change my User Name? |
No. Once you have selected a User Name on Met Trade, that is the name associated with your account. As you build a reputation within the Met Trade community, your name will be associated with how you do business. |
| Is it necessary to have an e-mail address? |
Yes. We use your e-mail address to notify you about any actions made on your negotiations as well as to provide you with any other important information. This way, you do not have to be online to know the status of your negotiations; we bring the action to you! |
| Will Met Trade provide me with an e-mail account if I do not have one? |
Sorry, but Met Trade cannot provide e-mail accounts. There are, however, many web-based e-mail services available on the Internet that will provide you with e-mail accounts free of charge. |
| How is my account information used? |
Your account information is used by Met Trade to track and process your negotiations and to personalize your experience. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy. |
| Do you sell my e-mail address to mailing lists and advertisers? |
No, Met Trade does not sell or distribute e-mail addresses to other parties. For more information on this topic, please review our Privacy Policy. |
| How do I change my user information (address, e-mail address, etc.)? |
Your user information is accessed through Your Administrative Panel. You can update or change your password, e-mail address, shipping information and more. Your changes will go into effect shortly after you submit them. |
| How do I choose a password? |
When selecting a password, try to choose something you will remember, but at the same time make it complex enough so that others will not be able to figure it out. Select a word or combination of letters and numbers that is at least 5 characters in length. Passwords are case sensitive. |
| Can I change my password? |
Yes, by accessing Your Administrative Panel page, you can change your password. You will be asked to type your new password twice for verification purposes. Remember, passwords are case sensitive. |
| What if I forget my password? |
If you forget your password, we will be happy to send it to you. Simply put your User Name in our Password Request Page, and Met Trade will send your password to the e-mail address specified in your account information. |
| My password isn't working... what should I do? |
You may not be typing it correctly. Try entering it again, and remember, passwords are case sensitive. If that doesn't work, fill out the Password Request Page and we will send you your password to the e-mail address specified in your account information. |
| How long does it take for my password to be entered into the system? |
It is entered immediately. Once you register, you may begin buying or negotiating in the Met Trade community right away! |
